So here’s what you need to know about all of us. We are best friends. End of Story. Not really. ☺ It’s more than that, as Sam has often said, we’re soul mates. We have a deep connection that is hard define but epic. We wanted a place to easily share our madness as we span many cities and states. As our busy lives get busier we now have one place to get a friend fix. And a blog seemed easier, not to mention cheaper than traveling pants. And hello, is it really possible for four girls to fit in one pair of pants? Especially jeans, sweats maybe.
Sam and Caitlyn shared a major at Ball State. One fateful semester they had three classes a day together. And suddenly a friendship was formed over a shared love of One Tree Hill, books, and EVERYTHING IN COMMON.
Cara and Caitlyn were friends before they could walk. They share (unofficially) an aunt and at an early babysitting session they encountered a Sam Cat. You can’t come out of a Sam Cat experience without being friends.
Lindsie and Cara went to grade school and high school together. The two went through the ups and downs and emotional upheaval of …. …Show Choir together. (You know those GLEE clubs are intense.) Cara and Lindsie have a relationship that makes many a person jealous. [Lucky for the four of us we’re all BFF.]
Now some specifics:
Samantha
Is the most grown up of the group. And by that we really mean she’s the only one with a big girl job. Thanks to Disney and Jane Austen she is convinced that life is a love story. She is now taking applications for her prince. Sam is our resident Country Music Queen (which is kind of cheating since she works in country music). Sam can be found watching Vampire Diaries, GLEE, and anything on MTV. If she’s not watching one of those she probably has a book in her hand or is checking Perez. Sam is the only member of the group who lives out of state.
Cara
Just wants to be a gangsta! She’s the hardest bitch of all of us. Cara watches E News and local news nightly, with some Scrubs in between. A day is not complete for Cara without a daily serving of The Soup. She loves Country music, pop, and Reality TV. Cara is our resident MTV, E, and Bravo expert. Cara is engaged but we all refuse to acknowledge the fact that she is a grown up. ☺
Caitlyn
Is not herself without a Diet Coke in her hand and a book in her purse. She is a walking planner. The queen of to do lists, pros and cons, and overall organization. Always a notebook in close proximity her brain never stops. Caitlyn can be found watching Bones, reading romance novels, or browsing half price books. Caitlyn is also the only sports fan in the group which explains her love of Friday Night Lights.
Lindsie
Has a deep and undying love for the 80s. Specifically teen movies, bright colors, and dance moves. She is a quirky ginger or as Caitlyn said one drunken night, a red headed slut. (Well one of the two we’ll let you decide.) She is addicted to the Internet and technology. This blog, we think, was her idea. Lindsie never passes up the opportunity to get coffee especially some Starbucks. She’s the levelheaded geek. Thank goodness we have at least one of them in the group.
We are all unique constellations of attributes that blend together to create a beautiful galaxy. (Name that movie!)
